Dr. Rachel Erickson

Dr. Erickson graduated from Bastyr University in 2008 with her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. She is licensed and practices as a primary care physician in the state of Washington. She now works at Alder Grove Healing Arts Center in Wallingford. Dr. Erickson completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Washington with a BS in Botany in 2003, and has a passion for biochemistry and human physiology.

Dr. Erickson’s mission is to be your health care advocate, help you navigate the medical world, educate you on how the body works and why it’s out of balance, and provide you with resources to treat all your health conditions. She helps you create your healthcare team, researches treatment options both conventional and alternative approaches, so that you can make the most informed decision on how to find optimal balance. When asked what she specializes in, Dr. Erickson says “My speciality is being your go-to person for any ailment, and to help you understand all the resources, botanicals and medicine, practitioners and services you need to find health again.”

“The amazing thing about medicine is that it’s not just the physiology  and biology that matters; that isn’t the totality of your health. The heart and soul of every patient I see tells me as much about their ailments and struggles as the answers hidden in their bodies. I tell every new patient who walks in my door that we are on a road to optimal health. It is not a pill, it’s not a quick fix, and I work as a detective, guide and ally alongside each of you to discover what is blocking your way to the fullest chance at healing and balance. It’s about bringing science to the art of healing. Above all else, I see myself as a long term advocate, here to guide and inspire people to live a healthier and more heartful life.”
